Victron MultiPlus 48V/3000VA/35A-50A
VE-MULTI-48/3k is a voltage converter and charger in one. It includes a pure sine wave converter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology and other features for integration into various types of systems. It is equipped with one AC input for connecting to the distribution network or, for example, a generator. The AC1 output ensures uninterrupted power supply, for example, in UPS mode. The MultiPlus takes over the power supply of connected appliances in less than 20 milliseconds in the event of a distribution network or generator failure. The second output is functional only when the AC input is connected to the distribution network or generator. A load that would quickly discharge batteries, such as a water heater, can therefore be connected to this output and will be powered only from the AC source.
Parallel operation
Up to six units can be connected in parallel to increase performance. Units of the same type can then be configured for three-phase operation.
Four-stage charging with adaptive charger and two battery charging outputs
The main output provides powerful battery charging via an "adaptive charging" system. The software controls the three-stage automatic charging process to suit the battery condition and adds a fourth charging stage - trickle charging. In addition, the MultiPlus can charge a second battery using an independent charging output, e.g. for generator starter batteries. The Multiplus is designed to charge all types of lead, alkaline and lithium batteries.
PowerAssist
MultiPlus prevents overloading of a power-limited AC source, e.g. a current-limited electrical connection. If the input AC source is overloaded, the charging current to the battery will first be automatically reduced. Second, the output AC current is boosted by the current drawn from the battery.
Solar energy
You can have AC power available even in the event of a power outage. MuliPlus can be used in both off-grid (island) systems and in photovoltaic systems connected to the distribution grid. MultiPlus is not equipped with an input for PV arrays, but is designed to work with MPPT controllers (DC coupling systems) or grid inverters (AC coupling systems).
Remote monitoring and system configuration
MultiPlus systems can be monitored and controlled both locally via LAN or remotely via the internet from any location using the free VRM portal and app. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Once connected to Ethernet, systems can be accessed with a Color Control GX or other GX device and settings can be changed remotely.
System configuration
- In the case of a separate UPS installation, for example, the settings can be easily made in a few minutes using DIP switches.
- Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure software and the VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid and hybrid PV installations for self-consumption, which include grid-connected inverters or MPPT solar chargers, can be configured using the Assistant (specialized software for specific applications).
