Victron EasySolar-II 48/5000/70-50 MPPT 250/100 GX
A comprehensive solution for an island or hybrid solar system . We connect solar panels, a battery, appliances, a power plant or a distribution network to the unit and we have a professional 1ph hybrid/island system (5000 VA, 4000 W inverter, 48 V battery, PV max. 5800 Wp).
An all-in-one solar energy solution, the Victron EasySolar-II GX integrates the following elements:
These elements are combined together inside a single unit, which greatly simplifies most installations and saves time and money.
Built-in display and Wi-Fi
The display shows the parameters of the battery, inverter and solar controller.
The same parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled device. In addition, the system can also be set up using Wi-Fi.
Solar controller
The DC output of the solar MPPT controller is connected in parallel with the DC connection of the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger.
The mechanism that turns the Multiplus-II device on/off is also controlled by the solar MPPT controller.
The GX integrated device includes:
The GX device controls the MultiPlus-II and the solar MPPT controller with the appropriate VE.Bus and VE.Direct connections and, when connected to the internet, ensures the system's connection to the Victron Energy VRM portal.
VRM portal
The free Victron Energy Remote Monitoring (VRM) website displays all your system data in a comprehensive graphical format. You can also change system settings remotely via the VRM portal. Alarms can be received by email.
Try the VRM portal on a DEMO account here (to connect to the VRM portal, you only need to connect the unit to the internet):https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage

The EasySolar hybrid operation is intended where a permanently available distribution network is connected to its AC input. In this mode, the unit prioritizes energy from the photovoltaic array and/or battery over energy from the grid.
The hybrid function must be set up appropriately in EasySolar (remotely or using the MK3-USB interface and the VE.Configure 3 program - not included). If the grid is present, EasySolar is permanently connected to it, even if it does not need the grid immediately (the battery is not discharged and the inverter is not overloaded).
A certain minimum amount of energy is constantly taken from and/or supplied to the grid regardless of the current operating status (small technically measurable overflows into the grid are present). Even when the distribution grid is connected, the energy taken from the photovoltaic system is prioritized.PV array and/or battery to power AC appliances. The photovoltaic array generates electrical energy, which is used to power 230 V AC appliances via an inverter/charger as a priority and directly without the battery. If the production of the photovoltaic array is higher than the consumption of the appliances, the excess energy is stored in the battery in an adaptive manner using the MPPT controller. If the battery is charged, the MPPT controller automatically reduces the production from the photovoltaic array (or energy is specifically supplied to the distribution grid, depending on the settings). If the battery is discharged below a preset level, the consumption from the photovoltaic array and battery is stopped and the AC appliances are fully powered from the distribution grid. As soon as the battery is partially charged from the photovoltaic system (by 5 to 10%), the AC appliances are automatically powered again from the photovoltaic array and/or battery. As soon as the AC consumption of the consumer exceeds 80 to 90% of the maximum continuous power of the inverter/charger, the inverter/charger draws additional energy from the grid (GridAssist function) to prevent the inverter from being overloaded.
During a power outage (blackout), the power supply to AC appliances and the battery charging from the photovoltaic array continues without interruption (EasySolar operation is fully independent of the grid). During a power outage, the battery is discharged to a deeper (defined) level than when the grid is present. At the same time, it can only supply AC appliances up to its maximum continuous inverter power. If the inverter/charger is switched off for a discharged battery during a power outage and the grid is subsequently restored, the inverter/charger automatically activates, starts supplying AC appliances and recharges the battery from the grid to the minimum preset value. In principle, this is the so-called DC coupling. The system has the option of activating the lead battery protection function against the negative effects of long-term discharge (it prioritizes the use of solar energy to recharge the battery or recharge the battery from the grid). EasySolar can be combined with a grid inverter(s) at the input or outputs (AC coupling) under certain conditions.
In standard family houses, there is a three-phase connection. The individual phases are brought into the main switchboard and selected single-phase appliances or circuits are connected to each phase. EasySolar is simply inserted into one selected phase before entering the main switchboard. In the main switchboard, selected appliances that we want to be powered primarily by solar energy are then connected to the given backup circuit.
The EasySolar unit is also a great choice for so-called island systems without an available distribution network - a generator can be connected to the EasySolar unit as a backup energy source.
