Victron VE.Bus Smart Dongle Intelligent Bluetooth VE.Bus interface with battery temperature and voltage sensor. Communicates system information directly to your smartphone (VictronConnect app). The VE.Bus Smart Dongle is a VE.Bus - Bluetooth interface with battery temperature and voltage sensor function. Allows you to monitor system information directly on your smartphone using the freely available VictronConnect app. When used with inverters/chargers, the dongle provides information on battery voltage and temperature and allows charge compensation. For MultiPlus-II models, the dongle is currently the only way to monitor battery data. The dongle can be used in GX and non-GX systems (Cerbo GX, Venus GX/CCGX etc.). In this case, the dongle provides up-to-date information via the VictronConnect interface and also allows firmware updates without the need for the internet. When the dongle is used in non-GX systems, the voltage data is the primary source of information for other devices and charge compensation. The VE.Bus Smart Dongle can also be part of a VE.Smart network. The VE.Bus Smart Dongle is able to receive temperature data in two ways: The Dongle is mounted directly on the battery case (using an adhesive) and the battery temperature is read directly from the battery case. However, more accurate battery temperature reading is available using an optional sensor mounted on the battery. If a sensor is connected, the Dongle automatically detects it and uses the temperature readings directly from the sensor.
