Version: 490-00000-52 (2 cores, RSS transmitter, DIN rail)
The Tigo RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) transmitter complements the cost-effective rapid shutdown system architecture in conjunction with Tigo’s UL-listed fire safety solutions – including the TS4-AF (add-on), TS4-A-2F (add-on for two modules) . The RSS transmitter sends a signal via PLC (Power Line Communication) to the TS4-F units to keep the photovoltaic modules connected even when the power is on. The TS4-F units automatically enter rapid shutdown mode when the RSS transmitter is powered down and resume power production when the RSS transmitter is powered up again. The RSS transmitter with Pure Signal technology can interconnect multiple RSS transmitters, allowing for one coordinated maintenance signal to the power plant to maximize signal integrity, even in large and complex solar installations. This solution complies with NEC 2014, 2017 and 2020 690.12 specifications for fast shutdown using Power Line Communication (PLC) . Available with Pure Signal technology for multi-transmitter systems, as a kit, DIN rail or PCBA for integration into inverters.
The Tigo RSS transmitter, available as a module or PCBA, is
part of a module-level fast shutdown solution in conjunction
with Tigo TS4-AF/2F MLPE. The RSS transmitter connects to multiple
RSS transmitters and mitigates interference with Pure Signal technology
Tigo, which synchronizes one coordinated
keep-alive signal for multiple systems.
Each transmitter will usecommunication over the power grid (PLC) to send
keep-alive signal to the MLPE device via one or
two cores. Each core can accommodate up to 10 photovoltaic string wires
(negative or positive only).
