Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with wide operating temperature ranges, unstable power supply, and frequent shocks. They also provide excellent multi-connectivity capabilities to achieve robust system connectivity with very low recovery times.
It is equipped with a redundancy method using the Spanning Tree protocol (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds and fractions thereof). L3 routing for up to 128 rules and VLAN interfaces using the OSPFv2 routing protocol are supported.
IGS series switches are resistant to shock and vibration, enabling the deployment of well-known Ethernet technology in industrial environments. They are also suitable for installations in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
Their great advantage is the extended mean time between failures (MTBF)!
