Xtend Solarmi DS240S-220DC

Surge arrester designed for the protection of photovoltaic devices . Due to the nominal input voltage of 220 V and the maximum voltage of 275 V, it is suitable for use with GridFree GF-SUN solar controllers and inverters . Max. operating current 50 A (gL/gG type fuses).

The surge arrester contains a thermal disconnector - varistors with a thermal fuse, optical fault indication and remote signaling of the arrester status. The arrester is mounted on a DIN rail and has a modular structure - a basic part and exchangeable modules. The exchangeable module allows for easy and quick replacement of a damaged part.

The DS240S-220DC surge arrester is designed to protect small and medium-sized stand-alone photovoltaic power plants with a maximum input of 275 V. It serves as the main protection of the system against surges caused by, for example, lightning strikes. It is installed on the line from the solar panels before entering the controller or inverter. It is connected to these devices in parallel with ground.

The surge protector will conduct the surge potential to ground via the ground terminal block, thus protecting other devices in the system.
