Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with wide operating temperature ranges, unstable power supply, and frequent shocks. They also provide excellent multi-connectivity capabilities to achieve robust system connectivity with very low recovery times.
The IGS series switches are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall, enabling the deployment of well-known Ethernet technology in industrial environments. They are also suitable for installations in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
In addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (which has a recovery time of a few seconds), the IGS-10020HPT is equipped with a specialized ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) function for redundancy, which has a recovery time and a new path finding time of up to 50ms. The switch has the ability to precisely synchronize the network clock thanks to the PTP (Precision Time Protocol) protocol according to IEEE 1588v2. Static L3 routing is supported for up to 32 rules and 128 VLAN interfaces.
Moreover, the switch is suitable for various applications in vehicles and monitoring system thanks to e-Mark certification . It meets the power and data transmission needs for surveillance system, video transmission and wireless services in transportation.
