Victron BMV-700 Highly accurate battery monitoring system. By monitoring the battery condition, you will achieve a longer service life. Detailed battery monitoring allows you to detect any operational deficiencies. It is suitable for all types of lead batteries including fleece (AGM) and gel. Regular automatic calibration of the device for reliable display of measured data (can also be performed manually). Simple battery capacity setting (factory set to 200 Ah) Auto-detection of voltages 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 120, 144 and 288 V. Designed for systems with high operating voltage (DC 70–350 V) Also suitable for Li-ion batteries Basic displayed values: Current battery voltage (V) Current current (A) that goes into (positive values - charging) or out (negative values - discharging) of the battery Current power (W) that goes into (positive values - charging) or out (negative values - discharging) of the battery (multiple of voltage and current) Total sum of energy taken from the battery to power appliances in ampere-hours (Ah) Current battery charge level in percent Expected (sophisticatedly calculated) length of time in hours to 50% battery discharge at a given energy consumption The tracker stores selected historical data and achieved limit values: Deepest battery discharge achieved Last battery discharge rate Number of battery discharge/charge cycles completed Average battery discharge value Number of battery full discharges Maximum battery voltage achieved Minimum battery voltage achieved Number of days since the last full battery charge Technical parameters: supply voltage 6.5–95 V DC power consumption with unlit display and relay off: 4 mA (12 V) and 3 mA (24 V) power consumption with unlit display and relay on: 15 mA (12 V) and 8 mA (24 V) operating voltage: 12, 24 and 48 V (autodetection) maximum current flowing through the shunt: -500 to +500 A (discharging and charging the battery) maximum deviation when reading the voltage: ±0.01 A at a voltage of 0–100 V maximum deviation when reading the current: ±0.01 A s 500A shunt maximum deviation when reading capacity: ±0.1 Ah at battery capacity 0–100 Ah maximum deviation when reading capacity: ±1 Ah at battery capacity 100–9999 Ah maximum deviation when reading state of charge: ±0.1% maximum deviation when estimating remaining time: ±1 hour (in the range 1–240 hours) maximum deviation when reading power: ±1 W in the range from -100 W to 1 kW total battery capacity: 20–9999 Ah operating temperature range: -20 to +50 °C circular diameter of the own tracker: 63 mm square size of the own tracker cover: 69 × 69 mm depth of the own tracker: 31 mm switched relay: 60 V (1 A) maximum weight of the own tracker: 70 g weight of the shunt: 315 g connecting screws of the shunt: M10 material: plastic The tracker performs sophisticated monitoring of supplied and consumed energy together with consideration of the adjustable value of the Peukert exponent (the greater the energy consumption, the relatively lower the amount of available energy in the battery and vice versa) and the battery efficiency for estimating the current amount of energy (Ah) and the battery charge level (in percent). For correct display of the amount of available energy in the battery, it is necessary that all energy entering and leaving the battery passes through the shunt. The tracker itself can be integrated into the wall without the need for access from the back (covered screws). For currents greater than 500 A, a replacement shunt designed for currents of 1000 and 2000 A can be supplied. Shunts up to a maximum current of 9999 A with a voltage range of 1 - 100 mV (both adjustable) can be used on the tracker. The tracker has a switching relay. This is activated/deactivated on the positive measured battery charge level. The factory setting is to switch on when the battery charge level drops below 50% and switch off when the charge level reaches 90%. These values can be changed in the settings. The switching logic can also be reversed, i.e. the relay is switched on by default, off by default. The relay can be used to switch on/off devices such as an external alarm, generator, etc. The tracker can be connected to other devices. Possibility of connecting the tracker to a large color display Color Control GX with a free option of graphical visualization of measured values on the portal https://vrm.victronenergy.com/user/register (can be tested on functional systems without obligation by entering the username: demo@victronenergy.com and password: vrmdemo). To connect the BMV-700 tracker to the Color control GX display, it is necessary to purchase either a VE.Direct cable or a VE.Direct-USB communication interface. Package contents: Custom tracker with backlit digital display and controls Plastic tracker cover measuring 69 × 69 mm Shunt 500 A / 50 mV designed for a maximum current of 500 A (installed on the negative battery cable) 10 m communication and power UTP cable RJ-12 (connecting the custom tracker to the shunt) 2 m long installation cable with fuse for connection to the positive cable BASIC SPECIFICATIONS Interface: RJ-12, VE.Direct, terminal block Supported battery types: lead, VRLA (gel and AGM), Li-ion, LiFePO4 Supply voltage range: DC 6.5–95 V Battery capacity: 1–9999 Ah Measurement of second battery voltage, temperature or average value: no Dimensions: 63 × 63 × 31 mm A maximum of four Color Control GX devices can be directly connected to one BMV device. Even more BMV units can be connected to the USB hub.
