Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with wide operating temperature ranges, unstable power supply, and frequent shocks. They also provide excellent multi-connectivity capabilities to achieve robust system connectivity with very low recovery times.
In addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), the IGS-801M is equipped with a specialized "Redundant ring" function for redundancy, which has a recovery time and finding a new path of up to 300ms.
The IGS series switches are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall, enabling the deployment of well-known Ethernet technology in industrial environments. They are also suitable for installations in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
