Using the integrated DIP switch, the IGS-624HPT can be configured as a 6-port Gigabit Ethernet switch or as a 4+2 redundant mode switch. In this mode, it provides fast link backup for highly critical applications and supports auto-recovery function. If the link on the destination port of a packet goes down/fails, the switch will forward the packet to the other port of the backup pair.
