The Lynx Shunt VE.Can is an intelligent current shunt with integrated battery monitoring, designed for use in Victron Energy systems with GX devices.
The Victron Energy Lynx Shunt VE.Can is a DC distribution system module that includes a 1000A shunt and built-in electronics for accurate battery health monitoring. It allows you to monitor voltage, current, state of charge (SoC) and other battery system parameters. It is designed to be used as part of a Lynx system and connects to GX devices via the VE.Can interface. It replaces the need for a separate battery monitor (e.g. BMV-712) in advanced installations. It also offers one programmable alarm output (e.g. low capacity warning relay). Compatible with other Lynx system modules – Power In, Distributor, Smart BMS etc.
The Lynx Shunt with VE.Can interface features a positive busbar with a location for the main fuse and a negative busbar with a measuring shunt. The M10 version features a dummy busbar that can replace the fuse inside the shunt and allows the main fuse to be located elsewhere in the system. This is particularly useful in larger systems requiring higher rated fuses. The M10 supports CNN, ANL or Mega fuses . The Lynx Shunt also includes monitoring electronics and can send battery information via the VE.CAN bus to a GX device or a third party CANbus monitoring system such as NMEA2000. The GX or third party units act as the battery monitor display and are also used to set up the built-in battery monitor. Fuse not included .
