Victron GX Tank 140

The GX Tank 140 device reads values from up to 4 tank level sensors . It is an accessory for the monitoring product line (GX systems) , of which the most commonly used model is the Cerbo GX.

The tank level can be read locally or remotely via the VRM portal . The GX Tank 140 system is compatible with both current (4 to 20 mA) and voltage (0 to 10 V) sensors . Connection to the GX device is via USB, which is also how the GX Tank is powered (no additional power cables are required).

The tank sensor wiring is designed to be as simple as possible, 2 of the 4 inputs provide 24V power, the remaining 2 channels require external power. A power input terminal is provided along with fuse outputs for convenience.

The upper and lower limits are configurable to allow the use of sensors that only provide part of the range, for example 0 to 5 V.

To ensure a stable reading, the data is averaged by damping. Damping can be configured from 1 to 60 seconds.

If a faulty sensor or wiring problem is detected, an alarm will be triggered (even if the values are out of range, the alarm will be triggered).

For marine applications, the GX can transmit these tank level values over a NMEA 2000 network for display on other displays (such as an MFD).
