Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are designed for harsh operating conditions with wide operating temperature ranges, unstable power supply, and frequent shocks. They also provide excellent multi-connectivity capabilities to achieve robust system connectivity with very low recovery times.
The IGS series switches are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall, enabling the deployment of well-known Ethernet technology in industrial environments. They are also suitable for installations in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
In addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), the IGS-10020MT is equipped with a specialized "Redundant ring" function for redundancy, which has a recovery time and new path finding time of up to 10 ms.
