The communication cable/converter offers the possibility of connecting the solar controller to a computer. You can connect the MPPT Tracer and XTRA solar controllers. These controllers have a proprietary RJ-45 connector with a digital output of system values (RS-485 protocol) . The communication cable together with the PC Software allows you to connect these devices to a Windows PC and read or write data from/to the controller.

Thanks to this converter, it is possible to control the flow of energy from the solar panel directly on the monitor screen. It is also possible to display the battery voltage, solar panel or temperature. The advantage of this solution lies, among other things, in the possibility of saving all this information into a file with the possibility of further processing (creating graphs, etc.).

The controller will provide the values of the following data:

The application is only used to read and save log data to files. You can further analyze these files.

The converter is supplied with a patch cable with RJ-45 connectors and an RS-485/USB converter. The PC application is available among the related documents.
