Victron Cyrix-ct 12/24V-230A
The Cyrix Battery Switch is a microprocessor controlled power relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is charging) and disconnects the batteries when the voltage drops below the float voltage (indicating that one or more batteries are discharged). Cyrix Battery Switch is a good replacement for Argo Diod isolators. Their main advantage is that they have virtually no voltage drop, so the output voltage of charging alternators or battery chargers does not need to be increased.
The standard Cyrix-ct (CT version) is designed for systems with lead-acid batteries.
The Cyrix-ct intelligent battery switch controls the charging and disconnection of the starter and service batteries. If one of the batteries reaches a voltage of 13.0 V (26 V) for 10 minutes or 13.8 V (27.6 V) for 4 seconds, the Cyrix-ct connects the batteries and charges both batteries simultaneously to a fully charged state. As soon as the voltage on one of the batteries drops below 12.8 V (25.6 V) for 10 minutes or 11.8 V (23.6 V) for 4 seconds, the batteries are disconnected from each other. This connection and disconnection works in both directions. The batteries can be of different capacities, types and designs . It is assumed that each battery supplies its own appliances.
The Cyrix-ct model is equipped with thermal protection (e.g. due to prolonged overload or high ambient temperature). Cyrix will disconnect in case of excessive contact temperature and will switch on again after cooling down.

Parallel connection in case of emergency (Start Assist)
The Cyrix can also be powered up using a button (the Cyrix will remain powered up for 30 seconds) or a switch to connect the batteries manually (in parallel). This is especially useful in an emergency when the starter battery is dead or damaged.
