Tinycontrol air quality sensor SPS30
The SPS30 sensor is used to measure air quality, i.e. polluted by PM2.5 and PM10 particles , and is directly intended for the LK3 and LK4 LAN controller .
The sensor uses laser scattering technology and thus has high resolution, fast response and easy integration.
The SPS30 particulate matter (PM) sensor represents a new technological breakthrough in the field of optical PM sensors. Its measuring principle is based on laser scattering and uses Sensirion's innovative pollution-resistant technology. This technology, together with high-quality, long-life components, enables accurate measurements from the first start-up of the device and throughout its entire service life of more than 8 years.
PM2.5 and PM10 refer to particulate matter with a diameter of up to 2.5 µm and 10 µm, respectively, which are among the most dangerous air pollutants. Due to their small size, PM2.5 particles can penetrate deep into human lungs and cause a number of health problems; for example, they can trigger asthma attacks or contribute to cardiovascular diseases. The SPS30 system will enable the implementation of innovative air quality monitoring devices that will prevent damage caused by air pollution.
The sensor exhibits best performance/accuracy when operated within the recommended normal temperature and humidity range (+10 to +40°C and 20 to 80% relative humidity).
