The Tigo Access Point (TAP) is the key element for wireless communication with Tigo smart solar modules and retrofit devices. The device significantly increases the security of solar installations thanks to the possibility of deactivation at the module level. In conjunction with Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA), it provides an unrivaled overview of your solar installation.

TAP communicates with up to 300 TS4 units and provides network status information for quick disconnection in accordance with UL safety standards. The device features easy installation on the module frame without the need for tools and quick commissioning using the Tigo EI mobile application.

System components and deployment

For optimal functioning of a solar system with Tigo Access Point, the following component arrangement is recommended:

1. Solar modules equipped with Tigo MLPE (Module-Level Power Electronics)

2. Tigo Access Point (TAP) located within range of the modules

3. Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) for internet connection

4. Inverter for converting direct current to alternating current

The maximum distance between the TAP and the nearest TS4 device should be 10 m, while the distance to the farthest TS4 device can be up to 35 m. One TAP can support up to 300 TS4 units, actual number may be affected by ambient environmental conditions.
