Victron Smart Battery Sense Smart wireless battery sensor to transmit battery voltage and temperature information to your Smart MPPT controller (via Bluetooth with a range of up to 10 m). Increases battery charging efficiency By measuring the voltage directly at the battery supply terminals, errors resulting from voltage loss due to cable resistance are avoided, ensuring the correct charging voltage. For lead-acid batteries, the battery temperature data is used to set the charging voltage: cold batteries require an increased charging voltage, while hot batteries require a reduced voltage. For lithium batteries, the temperature data is used to disable charging if the temperature is too low: charging lithium batteries at temperatures close to or below freezing will cause permanent damage to the cells. Wireless connection The connection of the smart battery sensor and one or more chargers is wireless. VE.Smart Network technology (wireless technology based on Bluetooth Smart) is used. The transmitted information can be used simultaneously by one, two or more solar controllers connected to the same 12 V, 24 V and 48 V battery. The Smart Network is set up using the VictronConnect app. Convenient and simple installation The battery sensor is easy to install and configure. The power cable has an integrated fuse (T1A 250 V) and pre-pressed M10 eyelets. The battery sensor is attached directly to the battery using self-adhesive tape.
