Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-18A insulated
The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional DC-DC adaptive three-stage charger with built-in Bluetooth functionality.
It is designed for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or boats where a (smart) alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and controlled remotely using a remote on/off switch. The charger is also equipped with an engine running detection mechanism.
The Orion Tr-Smart charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is suitable for both lead acid and lithium batteries. Models up to 400W are available. You can parallel an unlimited number of units to increase output power. It is suitable for use in ambient temperatures up to 55°C and at full rated output up to 40°C.
With Bluetooth Smart connectivity
Any smartphone, tablet or other device can be used to monitor, change settings and update the charger when new software features are available.

Adaptive three-stage charging algorithm: fast - absorption - float
- For lead-acid batteries, it is important that the absorption time is short during light discharges to prevent overcharging the battery. After deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure a full charge of the battery.
- The absorption time for lithium batteries is fixed, 2 hours by default.
- Or you can choose a constant output voltage.
Remote power on/off
A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to the two-pole connector. Alternatively, the H (right) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the positive terminal of the battery, or the L (left) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the negative terminal of the battery (or, for example, to the vehicle ground).
All models are equipped with short circuit protection and can be connected in parallel to increase output current
The number of units that can be connected in parallel is not limited.
High temperature protection.
The output current will decrease at high ambient temperature.
IP43 protection
When installed with screw terminals facing downwards.
