Victron Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter 100A
Victron Buck-Boost is a DC-DC converter for charging a 12V or 24V service battery in vehicles with intelligent alternators (regenerative braking, Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines). The converter charges the auxiliary battery with a preset charging voltage, eliminating high and low voltages.
Running engine detection system
The built-in "engine running" detection system prevents the vehicle's starter battery from being deeply discharged. Instead of this detection system, the converter can also be activated via a programmable input (D+, CAN bus or (+)15 connection).
Fully programmable
The converter can be fully programmed using a simple and user-friendly PC application (requires USB-A to USB-B cable). Software download HERE .
One product for 12V, 24V and 12/24V systems
The converter can be programmed to charge a 12V or 24V auxiliary battery from a 12V or 24V alternator and starter battery.
Charging current and input current limiter
The output current is determined by the following factors:
- Maximum charging current setting
- Maximum input current setting
- Maximum converter operating temperature limit
Input status indication (LED)
- Green: the converter is on.
- Yellow: input voltage below threshold, converter is off.
- Red: high temperature, converter is off.
- Blue, fast flashing: engine running, converter starts working after a preset delay.
- Blue, slow flashing: the converter is off and activation is blocked due to low input voltage.
Output status indication (LED)
- Green: converter is off, battery voltage is normal.
- Yellow: converter is off, battery voltage is low.
- Red: converter is off, battery is discharged or not connected.
- Purple: the converter is on.
