Advanced detection features
The camera uses a simple motion sensor with a 120° horizontal viewing angle and AI algorithms for accurate person detection. The system supports the creation of custom activity zones for targeted monitoring and privacy zones to protect sensitive areas.


Flexible storage and connectivity
Recording is done locally on a microSD card up to 512 GB or via the Tapo Care cloud service. The camera connects via Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz with support for WPA/WPA2-PSK security and 128bit AES encryption.
