The outdoor wireless IP camera with PIR motion detection sensor offers a 1/3" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 4 Mpx , which is capable of recording video in 2560 × 1440 resolution at up to 30 fps . In case of poor lighting conditions, there is IR illumination up to a distance of 15 m and white LED illumination for capturing color recordings at night. H.264 compression reduces data transfer and storage requirements. Recorded recordings can be stored on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB, or sent to cloud storage (based on a subscription). The camera includes an integrated speaker and microphone , which enable high-quality two-way communication. Active deterrence in the form of a strobe light and a customizable sound alarm then warns potential intruders. Connecting the camera using an application on a mobile device allows for convenient remote access, taking recordings or photos, or notifications in the event of motion detection . Other useful functions include, for example, recognition of human figures, vehicles and animals using artificial intelligence, customizable motion detection area or compatibility with voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa . Of course, there is a waterproof housing according to IP66 . Connection can be easily made wirelessly using Wi-Fi . Power is provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh , which can also be recharged using the Tapo solar panel (included in the package).
The solar panel provides a convenient and environmentally friendly way to charge all Tapo battery cameras. The 4-meter long cable with a USB-C connector (a USB-C to micro USB adapter is included in the package) provides sufficient flexibility in choosing the location.
