Save on the number of fibers used and use WDM technology, which enables bidirectional data transmission over a single optical fiber. The module allows communication at speeds of up to 1.25 Gbps over distances of up to 2 km . In practice, it is used for short and medium-length optical networks and provides fast and stable gigabit connections for switches, routers, servers, etc.

It also features Digital Diagnostic Monitoring ( DDM ) that complies with the SFF-8472 standard and supports real-time monitoring of the transceiver. The module is designed to be inserted into an SFP slot and is powered directly from the device.
