Dell PowerEdge R260








Compact 1U rack server designed specifically for Near-Edge applications and small to medium businesses.


The PowerEdge R260 is a newly designed, short, single-socket rack server with a depth of just 17 inches (461 mm) , making it perfect for deployment in warehouses, retail locations, or on simple tables and shelves. The server features an easily replaceable filter frame that protects the internal hardware from dust and grease and ensures unrestricted airflow to key components.


With the latest Intel® Xeon® 6300 or E-2400 series processors, up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, and advanced iDRAC9 management capabilities, the R260 offers enterprise-class features and capabilities at an affordable price. The server supports a variety of hardware and software expansion options to meet a wide range of customer needs.

Flexible storage and expansion
The server supports up to 6× 2.5" hot-plug SAS/SATA drives or 2× 3.5" drives with a maximum capacity of up to 46.08 TB. For boot operations, internal USB 3.0 or an advanced Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem (BOSS-N1) with RAID support for 2× M.2 SSDs is available.


Advanced cooling and connectivity
The air-cooled server system utilizes up to six cabled fans for optimal thermal management. Connectivity includes 2x 1GbE LOM ports, up to two PCIe Gen4 slots, and a full set of USB, VGA, and serial ports.


Operating system support
The R260 is compatible with a wide range of operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server with Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, and Canonical Ubuntu Server LTS.
