EdgeRouter Infinity se řadí svým výkonem a rozhraními do core řešení pro poskytovatele internetu, podnikových sítí a obsahuje celkově 8x SFP+ port pro připojení 10Gbps linek a jeden Gigabit Ethernet.

Srdcem routeru Infinity je 16-ti jádrový procesor taktovaný na 1.8GHz, který je schopen uroutovat kapacitu až 80Gbps.

EdgeRouter Infinity obsahuje již při koupi dva napájecí hot-swap moduly AC/DC, z nichž jeden je určen pro zálohování.
K routeru místo stávajícího AC/DC zdroje lze dokoupit i napájecí modul (měnič) typu DC/DC, který vyžaduje na vstupu 38 až 54VDC.
