MikroTik KNOT KNOT is a universal device with a wide range of connectivity options and support for protocols or interfaces. It is an IoT Gateway that uses Narrow Band and CAT-M technologies, which are supported by countless mobile operators around the world, including the Czech Republic, due to their very low monthly price (compared to LTE) and low bandwidth usage. This IoT gateway can monitor integrated GPIOs, convert RS-485/Modbus protocol to TCP/IP and also Bluetooth to TCP/IP using HTTPS or MQTT. You can use KNOT as a converter from wired RS-485/Modbus sensors to send data to a Modbus server. KNOT brings wireless connectivity to wired sensors and control mechanisms such as electricity meters and relays. For example, you can manage a vending machine with temperature and humidity sensors connected to KNOT with a transfer of only a few megabytes per day!
