Tips for measuring blood pressure correctly
At least 30 minutes before the measurement, avoid excessive physical activity, stress, smoking, or eating or drinking. Take off tight clothing and accessories from your hand and sit in a position with your feet on a horizontal floor (do not cross your legs). Rest your forearms on the table – the cuff should be approximately at the level of your heart. Do not talk during the measurement and stay calm.
Blood pressure naturally fluctuates throughout the day. The highest values usually occur during daylight hours and the lowest around midnight. Consult your doctor about the values measured at regular intervals.
