PLANET GPL-8000

A system for data transmission (internet, television and voice services) over an optical network. PLANET GPL-8000 has eight GPON ports, four Gigabit RJ-45/SFP combo ports, four Gigabit SFP ports, four 10G SFP+ ports and one management port. The device complies with ITU-T G.984/G.988.

It allows up to 1024 simultaneously connected ONUs and HGUs, providing a highly efficient solution and convenient management of a broadband fiber optic network.

Providing bandwidth of up to 2.5Gbps downstream and 1.25Gbps upstream, coverage up to 20km, and flexibility for network deployment, the GPL-8000 is a cost-effective access technology ideal for applications such as HDTV, IPTV, VoIP, and multimedia.

The device is an ideal solution for FTTx applications. It offers VLAN, Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA), SLA and ACL functions. The GPON protocol allows Gigabit Ethernet to be shared by multiple end users using a passive optical splitter.

The unit is equipped with a single 100-240V AC power supply that can be easily removed and replaced. In addition, a second power supply slot is available to add both AC and DC power. The redundant power system is specially designed to meet the requirements of high-tech equipment.
