Ubiquiti UniFi Switch USW-Flex
The 5-port UniFi Switch (USW-Flex) is a flexible PoE switch with management in an outdoor design (IP55). Ideal for powering cameras or other devices that support PoE 802.3af. The switch guarantees high throughput up to 5 Gbps (10 Gbps capacity), forwarding rate 7.44 Mpps.
UniFi Switch USW-Flex is a powerful full gigabit PoE switch from the well-known manufacturer Ubiquiti from the UniFi series. It is equipped with 5x Gbit Ethernet ports with PoE output support up to 15 W per port , a total of 46 W when powered by PoE++ (802.3bt) or using a 50V/60W PoE adapter. The switch offers the option of pole and wall installation.
UniFi devices can be configured and managed using the UniFi Network application, which is pre-installed on UniFi OS consoles (UniFi Dream Machine, Dream Router, Dream Wall, Express, Cloud Gateway Ultra, etc.). Alternatively, the freely available UniFi Network Server software is available for installation on your own computer or server (Windows, MacOS, Linux). One of the biggest advantages of this switch is its support for IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE In on port 1 and 802.3af PoE Out on ports 2-5 to power additional devices. By default, the UniFi Switch automatically detects 802.3af on a connected device so that the device can automatically receive PoE.
When installing a USW Flex switch with a USW Flex Utility box, it is necessary to enable the PoE injector mode in the UniFi controller settings on the port. (Update: from UniFi OS 7.3.x and higher, it is no longer necessary to enable the injector. The switch automatically detects it.).
