Victron CAN-bus temperature sensor

The CAN-Bus temperature sensor is an accessory developed specifically for all models of DC-DC buck-boost converters. The temperature is transmitted to the DC-DC buck-boost converter via a communication cable via the CAN bus communication ports. The CAN.bus temperature sensor can also be used in combination with any Victron Multi or Quattro . This allows the charging voltage to be regulated in accordance with low temperatures. For LiFePO4 lithium systems, this sensor is essential in many system applications as LiFePO4 batteries must not be charged if they are too cold. Charging lithium batteries at or near freezing point will cause permanent damage to the cells.
