Omada ES228GP is an advanced network switch designed primarily for CCTV systems and small businesses . It offers 26 Gigabit RJ45 ports , 24 of which support the PoE+ (802.3at) standard with a total budget of 250W and the ability to deliver up to 30W per port . It is complemented by 2 Gigabit SFP slots for optical connections.

The switch features centralized cloud management via the Omada Central Essentials platform, which is available for free. It supports advanced features such as remote camera reboot , QoS for traffic prioritization, VLAN segmentation, and automatic loop prevention. The durable metal case is designed for 19" rack mounting .

The free cloud platform enables centralized management of all Omada devices including access points, switches and gateways. It supports automatic device discovery, bulk configuration and firmware updates.

Network functions
Advanced L2 features include static link aggregation, port mirroring, 802.3x flow control, and detailed port statistics. The LLDP protocol provides automatic network topology discovery.
