Security features include IP-MAC-Port-Binding, Port Security, Storm Control and DHCP Snooping to protect against a wide range of network threats. The device has a built-in list of typical DoS attacks, making it easier than ever to protect against them. User access to the network can be controlled using 802.1X authentication, which works with a RADIUS/Tacacs+ server to grant access only to users with valid credentials. ERPS supports fast protection and recovery in a ring topology. Full support for L2+ features , including 802.1Q VLAN , port mirroring, Link Aggregation Management Protocol and 802.3x flow control. Advanced IGMP Snooping ensures that the switch intelligently forwards multicast streams to only the appropriate subscribers, reducing network traffic by data that is not needed.
