The Growatt SPF 6000 ES Plus inverter is the optimal choice for so-called island systems without an available distribution network - a generator and/or battery can be connected to the unit as a backup energy source. It is a hybrid inverter with a sine wave output ideal for domestic and small commercial systems. The built-in MPPT controller can handle up to 8 kW of PV arrays with a maximum open circuit voltage of 500 V oc . It can work with both lead-acid and Li-ion batteries. RJ-45 ports for CAN/RS-485 communication with BMS LiFePO4 modular batteries of brands such as Pylontech, WECO, Seplos, etc. are a matter of course.
The inverter can be operated without a battery, provided that it is actively connected to the distribution network. In SUB operating mode, the inverter monitors the load power and the power of the available photovoltaic source, and any missing energy is supplemented from the public grid. The device allows for bypass settings, which, in the event of a battery or PV array disconnection, connects the inverter output to the public grid within 10 ms to prevent power interruption. It also supports UPS mode with a switchover to battery operation within 10 ms. The inverter has two inputs for connecting solar panels.
By connecting the inverters in parallel, a total system power of up to 36 kW can be achieved. The inverter can be retrofitted with a Wi-Fi/LAN communication module for remote control and monitoring.

When operating the inverter in Solar Priority mode and without a battery, the inverter behaves as a so-called "hybrid", there is a possibility of electrical energy overflows into the distribution network. To eliminate these overflows, use the SBU Battery Priority mode, where when there is a lack of energy in the battery, it switches to bypass.
