Lead-acid 12 V (26 Ah) battery in VRLA GEL design designed for deep discharge and cyclic stress. It is therefore suitable for backup systems .
Traction gel batteries of the OTL series. These are sealed lead-acid batteries in the VRLA design. This is a design in which the internal pressure is regulated by valves (VRLA - Valve Regulated Lead Acid = valve-controlled lead-acid batteries). GEL technology means that the battery does not contain electrolyte in a liquid state . The electrolyte is solidified in a hybrid gel (combination with AGM), and is therefore firmly bound in the interior of the battery cells, which eliminates its leakage . The extra-strong cell grid ensures high cyclic resistance of the battery.
The battery can also be used for applications in "standby" mode, where the batteries are under constant power and serve as a backup source in the event of a power outage. They are particularly suitable where there are frequent outages or where the batteries are deeply discharged.

Cyclic endurance depending on depth of discharge
Battery maintenance
To achieve optimal battery life with frequent cyclic operation, it is necessary to respect the maximum permitted depth of discharge of 80% DoD (Depth of Discharge) specified by the ČSN EN 61044 standard.
When storing batteries for a longer period of time, it is necessary to ensure their continuous charging. At a storage temperature of 25 °C, charge every 6 months, if the temperature is higher, charge more often.
Operating temperature range: charging -20 to +50 °C, discharging -20 to +50 °C, storage -10 to +40 °C. Prolonged exposure of batteries to temperature extremes shortens their lifespan.
