This DisplayPort optical cable supports DisplayPort 1.4 specification and is used to connect two audio/video devices. The cable transmits digital audio and video and supports HDCP digital content protection. It supports resolutions up to 4K at 120 Hz and 8K at 30 Hz.

The cable contains active electronics that only work in one signal direction. The cable must always be connected with the devices turned off and only in the direction marked on the cable (i.e. Source → Display).
