MC212CS-2 is an advanced media converter using WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology , which enables bidirectional data transmission over a single optical fiber. The device provides one Gigabit RJ45 port with auto-negotiation and one Gigabit SC/UPC optical port for single mode fibers.

The converter is ideal for commercial applications such as park security monitoring, wireless networks and other scenarios requiring reliable data transmission over distances of up to 2 km . The device is plug & play and unmanaged , ensuring simple installation and operation.

WDM technology and compatibility
The device uses advanced WDM technology, which allows simultaneous transmission and reception of data at different wavelengths over a single optical fiber. Compatible with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3i, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3xa and IEEE 802.3z standards.

Operating conditions and power supply
The converter operates in a wide temperature range of -5°C to 50°C with an operating humidity of 10% to 90% RH. Power is provided by an external 9 V/0.6 A adapter, which is included in the delivery along with the installation manual.
