RS485/422/232 to TCP/IP protocol converter. IP communication converter from 100Base-FX via SFP module to serial lines of types RS-485, RS-422 and RS-232. Serial communication type is optional.
Serial communication transmission over IP protocol is particularly used for data acquisition, control machines and control of camera systems . It also replaces the physical conversion of the serial protocol to another transmission medium. It practically extends the range of serial communication indefinitely.
The ICS-110 converter enables efficient remote management via Web, Telnet or VCOM . It supports both application and serial operating modes for alarm or IP address connection, saving network administrators time in detecting and locating network problems without the need for visual inspection of cabling and devices.
Please note that an optical interface is required to access device management.
Ability to work with character delimiter:
- The ability to specify a start and end character that determines the start and end of serial device communication. Data is not sent over Ethernet before the end character is received.
- possibility to set reception from the serial port so that if it contains a certain character, the communication is ignored
You can set a fixed time after which communication should not take place (e.g. to save data transmission costs).
