The single-mode WDM media converter with SC connector uses only one fiber optic cable to send and receive data, which reduces cabling costs by half. It uses a wavelength of 1310 nm for sending data and 1550 nm for receiving data. The MC111CS converter is used on the other side of the fiber optic cable.
