TP-Link MC200CM
Gigabit media converter designed to convert media from 1000BASE-SX optical line to 10/100/1000Base-T metallic line and vice versa . The converter was designed according to IEEE802.3ab 10/100/1000Base-T standards, and is intended for use with multimode optical cable with SC connector. It supports the shortwave laser (SX) specification at maximum packet forwarding speed. It uses the 850 nm wavelength for both receiving and sending data.
Other features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with a TP-LINK 19' chassis, automatic MDI/MDI-X detection for the TX port, and status LEDs on the front panel. The MC200CM module supports data transmission over multimode fiber optic cable up to 0.55 km.
The media converter only supports gigabit ethernet. It does not support 10/100 Mbps speeds.
