Key features:
File Shield
It scans programs and files stored on your computer in real time for malicious threats before allowing them to be opened, run, edited, or saved. If malware is detected, File Shield prevents the program or file from infecting your computer.
Web Shield
It scans the data that is transmitted while browsing the Internet in real time to prevent malware, such as malicious scripts, from downloading and running on your PC.
Postal shield
It scans your incoming and outgoing email messages in real time for malicious content, such as viruses. The scan only applies to messages sent or received using mail management software (email clients such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird). If you access your webmail account through a web browser, your computer is protected by additional Avast shields.
Behavior Shield
It monitors all processes on your PC in real time for suspicious behavior that may indicate the presence of malicious code.
