Advanced administration and management functions
The station supports remote management via Dell Device Management Console with the ability to automatically update firmware, maintain specific firmware versions, or downgrade. It allows for silent firmware updates when the dock is undocked, minimizing user disruption. Out-of-band management is available for Intel vPro computers via Intel Active Management Technology.
Universal compatibility
The docking station is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 11, Ubuntu 24.04, macOS, ChromeOS 137 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 operating systems. It supports features such as Dock Power Button Sync for power-on synchronization, WLAN to LAN Switch for automatic network switching and Kernel DMA Protection for increased security.
Detailed power distribution
Each port provides a specific power output – 4x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 delivers 4.5W, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 delivers 15W, USB-C with DisplayPort delivers 7.5W, and both Thunderbolt 4 ports deliver 15W each. All ports deliver power even without a computer connected.
