Local On-Site Service (LOSS)
- This service package provides on-site support for your product.
- Before on-site service, technical support staff may ask you for assistance in troubleshooting your product. For more detailed information, please refer to the "When contacting ASUS customer service" section on the warranty card provided with your product or visit the support page .
- If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, then on-site technical support will be arranged. An authorized ASUS technician will be dispatched to your location, usually by the end of the next business day. Response time may vary depending on geographic location, spare parts, and local service availability.
- You will be required to provide an authorized ASUS technician with access to your building, ASUS products, electricity, internet connection, driver CD/DVD (if provided with the product), and a sufficient and safe working environment.
- If the product fails under normal and proper use during the term of this service package, ASUS will repair or replace the defective parts of the product, or the entire product, with new or refurbished parts and products to the extent that the functionality is equal to or better than the original.
- If damaged parts are replaced by this service, you consent in advance to the ownership of the replaced damaged parts becoming the property of ASUS.
- In the event that an ASUS authorized technician determines that the product is outside the scope of coverage (such as customer-caused damage, etc. as described in the “Exclusions from this Limited Warranty Service” section of the Warranty Card), a price list will be issued to you and this service will be provided only upon payment. If you decide not to proceed with the repair, then you will be charged for all ASUS costs already incurred (including on-site technician dispatch, testing/fault finding, etc.)
- Except for the change in warranty period, all other terms and conditions remain the same as the standard ASUS warranty.
- This service package does not extend the battery warranty.
Accidental damage - Local Accidental Damage Protection (LADP)
A. This service package covers the following types of accidental damage caused by normal use:
- Dropping, falling, or other impacts
- Liquid damage
- Damage from electrical surges
- Accidental breakage
B. Only one (1) Key Part may be claimed under this Service Package per year from the date of activation. In the event of any additional claims for repair of Key Part(s), the Customer shall bear the cost of labor, transportation and replacement parts.
C. The key parts listed above include the screen (LCD), DVD/CD drive, motherboard, processor, hard disk drive, and memory.
D. The total cumulative cost of repairs provided under this service package will not exceed the customer's purchase price of the product.
E. To all of youComponents repaired or replaced by an ASUS service center are covered by the warranty for the remainder of the warranty period, for the entire product.
To make a claim under this service pack, you must provide an explanation of where and when the incident occurred, as well as a detailed description of the incident. Failure to provide this information or the required documentation will result in your claim being denied.
